Unoma & Ekpe Okorafor!!! They met in Houston in 2002, through a mutual friend, Mandee. They we both doctorate students in Electrical Engineering and started out as academic friends, exchanging ideas and experiences. But pretty soon, it was obvious there was too much spark and chemistry in the relationship. We were still pretending we did not know what was happening even when Ekpe was making the one hour drive from College station to Houston every weekend. I guess it was a strategy, we were both hopelessly in love by the time we decided to start dating. Ours was a short one that led us straight to marriage. Ekpe proposed on the 1st of January 2003, after a watch night service at Chapel of Praise in Houston! Unoma was unhesitant in accepting, amidst girly giggles.! They were married on the 21st of June, 2003 - the longest day of the year, when the sun is right above the equator! Two years later, this is what they have to say... "Ours has been the most beautiful and exciting marriage." Unoma says " Ekpe is the best husband any woman could ever dream or imagine. God has given me a gift far more precious than I could have asked." And what of Ekpe? Casually he states, "Since the first day I laid eyes on her in that green short dress, she has made me the happiest of all men. Nomsie has brought so much of God, peace and blessings into my life. But i can tell you, its an adventure being married to Nomsie, everyday is new and fresh and exciting. She never lets me get bored!" |

Born
Unoma Ifeyinwa Ndili to parents Professor & Mrs Frank Ndili,
Unoma grew up in Nsukka and Asaba. She attended Federal Government
Girls College Onitsha, and then went on to study Electrical Engineering
at the premier University of Lagos Nigeria. She graduated in 1997.
She proceeded to Rice University Houston where she got a Masters
in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2001. She is currently
working on her doctorate at the Texas A & M University. A born-again
christian, Unoma loves to travel, meet people, give public lectures
and enjoys Church! |

My name is Chisom Nnennaya Okorafor, borm May 26, 2004!!! I am just so happy and excited to be with y'all. My name means God is with me... and He is! Even as far back as when i was in my Mommy's tommy! I am so excited to have my Mommy and Daddy as parents. They are the best and they love me so much!!! Right now, I am just learning and soaking up all I can. I know y'all won't believe it but I am typing this myself. I am so computer savvy, its amazing.. Yeah yeah, i know I am tooting my horn by telling y'all that I am really very very smart, but thats ok! Its kind of natural since both my parents are phd junkies! Anyway, gotta go now.
